banked low
the quiet room
Slow down with one breathing ring and a dimmer that stays where you leave it; put one burden down and leave it down.
loam
A cutaway of soil. Plant something, water it, and watch the roots find their way down.
Tap or click anywhere in the soil to put something in it. Roots take the path of least resistance, so the stones matter: a seed planted over gravel goes sideways for a long while before it finds a way down.
Bare soil, well drained, nothing in it yet.
core sample pending put something in the ground first
The soil keeps only the count of what went into it. The roots themselves are grown fresh and lost again, which is the usual arrangement with soil. The interesting part was always underground.
